Setting yourself apart amongst the vast Dutch EDM movement is an accomplishment achieved by few artists – Shermanology, however, are one of them. Instilled with funk affecting jazz-stylings and a seductive soulful edge, their unique brand of electronic music is like nothing heard on the clubland circuit now, and not ever. Having set the world alight in all 4 corners, 2013 is set to send the globe into inferno - we have only seen the start from the Shermanology 3-piece and the future is set to send them stratospheric.
They started as Andy and Dorothy, musically schooled by their Father and Uncle who were soul artists in their own right, The Sherman Brothers. Growing up with an appreciation of the greats, the pair only listened to the finest funk artists - Prince, Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Bebe & Cece Winans and Earth Wind & Fire. Watching the experts rehearse and hone the craft of rhythm and soul gave them the vision of their sound today – the most metric, progressive dance music heard worldwide. 2006 saw this dream realized when they took the scene by storm with 3 Minutes To Explain. This enormous club track was alongside the 2 greats, Fedde Le Grand and Funkerman, which validated the duo’s colossal potential. Leon Sherman then entered the frame to create once of the most diverse music families around – Shermanology as we know them today, was born.
